Intro
My name is Herb Robinson, I ran for the United States House of Representatives in 2020 as a Democrat from the Massachusetts 4th Congressional District. I am not a professional politician, I am an Engineer (Cornell EE) with more than 40 years experience doing creative problem solving in private industry. If you want a choice on the primary ballot, sign my nomination papers -- to the left of this page (or below if you are on a cell phone).
My priorities are
- I pledge to limit my fundraising to no more than 100 hours per year. I promise not to spend 30 hours per week fundraising like the other candidates.
- Implement the Green New Deal.
- $18 per hour minimum wage.
- Protect our Democracy.
The Pledge is not another talking point, it's a fundamental paradigm shift in the way Washington does business. It cannot happen unless we get together and make it happen. I am willing to take on this job, but I can't do it alone. If you think the pledge is a good idea, let people know by making a $5 donation to the campaign. Volunteer to help.
Eight years ago, I lost to Joe Kennedy in the primary. At the time, I was promoting raising taxes on people who make over a million dollars a year. I was also calling for "an all hands on deck effort similar to the mobilization for World War II" to reduce oil consumption. Since then, we have seen the Fair Share Amendment in Massachusetts; Most of the Democratic presidential candidates are proposing taxes on the wealthy; and we are seriously talking about the Green New Deal. I was there 8 years ago. If you want that kind of leadership in the future, all you have to do is believe it can happen, volunteer to help, and vote for me.
